Stick with it. It's going to work out okay in the long run. This is a trial and error experience. Don't give up!

I love the green fabric for the tables. So springy! I love the letters and sign. I think you did a fabulous job there. In fact, i'd love to copy your design!

Please don't egg me for this one- watch the experienced craft booth folks. Usually their booths are crammed to the gills with all sorts of things. There's a reason for this.... People are attrached to situations that require more than a casual glance. Your booth is very pretty. It's very ordered. And you can take it all in within a a couple seconds of walking by. Spice it up and add more complexity. People have to spend time in your booth in order to buy something. You know? Find vendors who you like and respect- I find most craft folks to be very open and kind. They'll teach you the tricks of the trade (like how to attract buyers).

I'd add more crafty things that people may be interested in buying (not just bows or clips). You've got flair, so I imagine it's just the extra time (what's that?) it takes to make it. you know?

Finally, there are always bummer days/shows where it seems like folks just buy food. Everyone has been in your situation before. (and if they haven't....it's going to happen sometime!) Chin up!

Don't forget that most successful crafters build their client base. It's the repeat customers who will keep you busy.

Your set up is beautiful!! I have to agree with others don't give up!! I have my first craft show in 5 weeks and I'm worried that it'll be a bust but you gotta try!

Your set is awesome! I would add a sign on the outside of your tent or do an easel with what's inside with bright colors.

Love the sign inside, what a cute idea! Call/Look around for inexpensive craft shows, high schools, churches that don't cost much to have a booth and get your name out there. They'll be calling you to match that outfit!

Thank you all so much for the kind words! I have used you all for preparing for this show so I would have a clue as to what I was doing. I did finally go "visit" the other bow booth to see what she was selling. I must say that I had quality and she had quantity. I wasn't impressed with her bows as she did take what I call the "quick route" on making her bows. But, I was happy to hear that she didn't do too well either.

My spinning displays came from AC Moore. It is a great display. But it seems like something great to have in an area where you have limited space. The other lady had all of her clippies on strips of ribbon or on the boards with ribbon like many on here have shown. I didn't want all of my stuff to be hard to take down due to the big rain that came on Saturday afternoon. Plus I had most clippies on the business cards. I didn't want all of those flimsy from the rain.

YES!!! My tent roof did leak and I was given the great advice to waterseal the seams, however I didn't have time to do that. Thank you Ainsley for the great advice!!!!

On Sunday I only made about $11.00. All on clippies! So a total of about $75.00 for a three day show. I will try and find someone to buy these bows, but I feel like I spent so much money and got so little in return.

Again, I wish you all well in your craft shows and I read and use advice from all of you for everything I do. You are all great ladies and I appreciate your help in my first show. Please take whatever from my booth you like and use it as you wish. I'm one of those people who like to always find something new, so I doubt it will look the same the next time around.

Angelia

I am sorry to hear that it didn't go so hot there! I do think that All the advise that has been given is great!! I even enjoyed reading it to see if there was anything there for me to improve myself.

One thing that I would like to add is what has worked for me is to not have a booth that you can walk in but you can walk around. (I put my tables back to back in the center of my spot and put them all the way to the front line of the spot. (does that make sense?)

Anyway, I would do the cheaper shows. I will only do the shows that cost under 100.00 and make out well at those.
