What color tutus sell best for you?

I'm getting ready to place a huge tulle order for an upcoming craft show. What colors sell best for you? I'm thinking, white, pink, hot pink, red and purple, do I need other colors? Also, what is your price point for tutus? I was thinking $15 (wrapped with satin ribbon), is that too much, too little or just right? Thanks!

As to colors I can only think to advise on upcoming holidays - red, white & blue.

As to colors. $15 - Are you kidding me? You time is worth more than that. In my opinion. Figure out your profit and figure if that is o.k. with you. It depends on hobby/business. I would say at least $25 for a tutu but a lot will disagree.

I don't live in an area where I could get $25 for a tutu. The cost of living in our area (San Antonio, TX) is very low compared to other places in the country and even in our state. I think people would look at the tutu and wonder what they could get for $25. I know I could buy a weeks worth of groceries for $25 (thank you grocery game!). The tutus only cost me $3.50 and 30 minutes to make, at $15 I'm making $23 an hour. I originally wanted to go $20, but DH said that was too much, I think I'll stick with my first instinct. If they don't sell at $20 then I lower it.

I haven't sold any yet, but I'm am going to do $15 for infant and $20 for toddler.

15$ is a great starting off point then. You can always raise the price if they fly off the shelf!

Wow- you must not put that much tulle on them. Mine are shoved full of tulle and cost me more like 5-6 to make. They take me about 2 hours to make. I charge (and get) 25 bucks per tutu, but mine are very full.

I use 75 yards of tulle for tutus up to 2T and 100 yards for 2T-5T, which is alot IMO, they are very full. I get the rolls of tulle for $1 a piece from a local supplier. The larger size costs a little more for me to make so I think I'm going to tack on an extra three bucks for those.

As for how much time it takes, I guess I'm just fast! I actually timed myself last night. Eleven minutes to cut the tulle (could probably do this quicker, I kept stopping to watch snippets of Real Housewives I had Tivo'd) 13 minutes to tie the tulle on, and 12 minutes to wrap the waist, oh and about half a minute to sew the elastic waist. So that's, what, thirty-six minutes, darn I was off by six minutes, lol!

Believe it or not, College Station is actually alot pricier town to live in then San Antonio. The median income is about 25k higher and the median home price is about 50k higher then San Antonio.

Where do you get the tulle for $1?! Can I order from them? Do you wrap your tutus with ribbon at the waist? If so, how do you do that? I can't figure out how to make it look right. Thanks!

And yes, you are fast! I probably take twice as long, I sell mine for $20.
