Default How to display headbands...

Hey ya'll... I'm going to my very first craft fair in 4 weeks... I'm trying to mentally note how I'm going to arrange everything. I'm putting my ribbon wrapped headbands with bows kinda sorta hanging out of a vase or two... my husband suggested using a glass milk jug... I experimented tonight... very cute actually! But my question is this... How does everyone display their crochet and nylon headbands? Do you sell them with flowers already on them? I would really like to sell the bows and flower clips seperate and hang them from a HUGE bow board type of thing. In my head it looks awesome! But adding the headbands to each flower or bow would really jack up the display. I thought about getting some of that round pillow batting... for neck pillows, covering it in a simple fabric, and just slipping the headbands over it with a universal price for the crochet headbands and another universal price for the nylon ones... and maybe run a special like a certain % off if purchased with a bow or flower clip... Any thoughts?
Thanks in advance!
Stephanie

I just finished my first show. With my soft headbands I put them in baskets and put the prices on the baskets and then had a board with the flowers and bows separate that way they can be mixed and matched. My baskets were long enough to put two different types per basket so I put the ones that were priced the same in the same baskets.

I put my metal hb in glass vases which wasn't really the best, but it did the job. I think I'm going to have my DH make a display for my next show in Oct.

The pic isn't the best but it will give you a good idea. It worked pretty well for me and everyone liked the fact that they could pick out their own colors and buy extras for the bows and flowers that they already have at home.

I LOVE your pink and green displays with the hats and the tutu on them! Did you make them or buy them? If so how/where?

I made them. My DH is laid off from work right now so I was doing this on the cheap. It is a small wooden base (that I got at HL 2/$1) with a hole drilled into it, dowel rod, and a styrofoam ball. It's not the best because the styrofoam sticks to the headband or hat, but it looks really cute. I made some larger ones for tutus and they worked great.

Did you use the styrofoam ball in the floral dept. It looks really cute.

Thanks,

Yes, but I would recommend spray painting them. I didn't really think about it and just bought the $1 bottle of acrylic paint and it took forever to paint them!

I think I am going to do something similar to this for my nexst show for my metal headbands. I think they will look a lot nicer than in my vases.

If you spray paint Styrofoam you have to get a special type of paint because regular spray paint will eat the foam away...
