Thinking of doing my 1st craft show

It is a small craft show at a local high school. The vendors buy tables that money goes towards Project Graduation which funds a fun and safe night for graduating seniors. Anway I emailed the coordinator and she said that she doesn't have anyone signed-up that are selling hair accessories and she doubt that she will because my items sound "very unique and unmatched by others." I thought that was funny because it's not like I evented a car that runs on water or anything (although if I did I bet the price of water would skyrocket!). A 6' table is $55 for five hours on May 10th, last year's attendance was about 250 people but they are expecting more this year because they got a very popular local band to play.

So I'm wondering if I should jump in with both feet on this one. My etsy shop is up, but I don't have anything listed yet, I'm still making inventory. I am pretty confident in my bow making skills (I only do simple boutique bows), critter clips, and pony o's, but I still need some practice on my woven headbands. Do you think I have enough time to create enough inventory and exactly how much inventory should I have? I know lots of questions, I'm just scared and excited at the same time!

I"m kinda on the fence with this one. I'm not sure if the people you need will be there. If someone has a high schooler, they may not have little girls. YOu know?

If you decide to do it, I'd focus on team spirit sorts of things. School color streamers, flip flops, etc.

I thought about that too, but the coordinator said they market it to all the schools in that school district, including the elemntary schools. I was going to focus on team spirit, summer and 4th of July items.

Most of the best craft fairs in my city are held at local high schools. And it's not the parents of the kids that attend the school that come to shop at the craft fair, so don't let that hold you back.

I think $55 is a reasonable amount to get your feet wet, and you have plenty of time to get your inventory up. Plus, whatever doesn't sell you can put in your etsy shop!
