I have a craft show coming up in June and I wanted to base my dispay kinda like a candy store and I was wondering if anyone has ever used penny candy jars to hold clippies of the same color and if it might get too messy having to dig through the jars.......any advice? I can get 4 standard jars for $35.00. I didn't think that was so expensive.....

I think that is a SUPER cute idea. I bought some cute 'vases' like that for the purpose of taking photos with bows in them - so I'm thinking I understand your concept.

The only thing I'd be worried about - is if people are too 'rough' with them digging through the containers. But I as a display - I think it's SOOO cute!!!

That's kinda what I was worried about........I might try it and see how it goes over.....I wish I had enough inventory built up I could just use them for display reasons! Maybe someday

You know, I don't know how many different colors/styles you plan on doing, but if you had enough containers for each one to hold 1 specific color/style then it could work since they wouldn't be trying to dig for different ones.. they'd all be the same! Can you find any mini containers?!

Hey,

I am thinking here, how about those chinese food containers they sell at the craft stores now in different colors. Cover or paint chopsticks and stick them in floral foam. Put bows/clips on chopsticks.

What do you think?

How about if you took a piece of white cardstock and made a circle of it to fit inside the jar and then just had clippies on the outside of it--in between the paper and the glass-- that way you 1- wouldn't have to have as many clippies to make it look full and 2- there would be less in there to have to dig through

OMG!!! I seriously was just looking at these the other day when I was looking at bags at Papermart! That's such a great idea!

That sounds PERFECT because I was trying to figure out a way to get smaller containers so I wouldn't have to fill those things all the way up! Thanks for the ideas girls!
