Default Vertical Display ideas?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay, so for my bow parties I basically just lay out my bows (which are on bow cards) on the table. Some are clipped onto a long piece of ribbon and my headbands are in a basket. I want something that I can hang my ribbon onto and clip all my clips on. Something that isn't expensive because I am out of money to spend on supplies. I really like the idea of having something vertical so people can see the bows better and the table isn't so messy. I am thinking of something that has pegs that I can set on top of the table...
what about pic frames - you can line the inside w/ fabric, place ribbon and clip bows to them? It's vertical - comes in various sizes and not too expensive but also nice for presentation!
AC Moore has 40% frames right now too.
Thanks for the reminders about those! I like the frame idea.
BUT I want something taller where I can "hang" my ribbon from so it will hold more bows. If I can't come up with something better, I use go with the frame.
verticle...
what about a pice of PVC pipe...cheap and can be cut to width you want...
measure ribbon to length to the verticle length you want it
then atach Ribbon to the PVC ...either by attaching velcro to the ribbon and then wrapping it around to close around the pipe or wrap it around the other end.
either use a second pipe an attach the ends to it or add metal washers to the ends to help keep it flat.
clip clippies or bows to it.
you can really finish it off by capping the end with PVC cap ends and you can also paint it any color you want BEFORE you put the ribbons on it.
you can attach it to canapies with Zip ties or make tails that have grommets put in it so you can hang on a wall
I use Grid Wall that I bought from a store that was closing. It's heavy as anything, but it's 8 feet tall. I can make a very nice vertical display that way! I can buy tulle for 60 cents a yard (wholesale), so I can afford to drape it with tulle.
I bought my gridwall from a Dillards that was closing. I got it for 7.50 per panel. It's 2 feet wide and 8 feet tall. I bought all 31 panels, so it was around 300. But...it's really useful and a great use of money. I have also bought gridwall mounts that are on wheels. It allows me to make triangles or star configurations and I can roll them around.
A slightly cheaper option is peg board. You can buy peg board at any Home Depot/Lowe's. They even have do-hickeys that you can stick into the peg board.
You can build yourself some pipe and drape displays. You can use thicker PVC and make yourself curtains. This will help your booth to have walls. Don't spend a fortune on these.... Just find some cute fabric that won't distract from your product. You can even do tulle her, too.
You can also use child's plastic hangers to hang ribbon on. I put 4 1-yard strips of ribbon and glue them to a hanger. I can hang a TON of bows on one hanger like that! I can hang enough that the hanger is actually heavy!
Check this link out...a photographer shared her pics of my little consignment sale. You'll be able to see some gridwall (it's the tall, white wall-like things). You can also, if you have excellent vision, see my bows hanging.... in 1 pic only, I think.
I'm using some old bi-fold doors with slats in them. You could also use shutters. You can weave some long stips of ribbon between the slats and hold the ends together with a clip. Then you can just clip the clips to the ribbon.
If you have loose clips you can attach them directly to the slats.
