~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am so excited - tommorrow I am going to pick up my pegboard displays, built by my handy father-in-law! I also ordered 4 countertop racks and signs that can attach to the top of them. This is, of course, the huge snow storm that is coming tonight clears up by tommorrow.
What do you think of letting people try on bows at your table? Does that seem gross? I sell to my sister in law and she sometimes puts a bow in her daughters hair and then likes it better than just on the card....so I was thinking of putting a counter display mirror so people can hold the bows up to their children and see what they look like. Sometimes bows look too big on a card for younger kids and then they can see how cute they are on...kinda like holding a shirt up to you in the store. I will post pictures soon.
I have thought about that- but I just can't bring myself to say no to the person. They will put try the bow out sometimes anyways... so what should I say then? I try to be as nice as possible- I need that sale. But I don't want to be known as - THAT mean bow lady. LOL
I don't think it is a good idea to let them try on the bows. Lice is very contagious. My daughter got lice from day care twice within 2 mo. Once we got it cleaned up, she got it again...urg...I think she ended up getting 3 treatments. I also got it too.
If you want to have something for them to try on so they can see what it looks like & size of bow, etc. What about making photocopies of the bows on just regualr paper. Cut them to the correct size. Just have those pieces of paper in the basket and they can pick one out to put against their hair and then just thow it away when they are done. I dont' think that would cost that much and it will also be a lot more sanitary. |
I was just going to say that Judy! I had a snap clip bow attached to my name tag thingy, and my friend had a single prong. So if people really wanted to know how they worked, I offered those instead. If someone wanted to try it on, that was their option.
I SOOOO wish I had a cute mirror. I didn't - so I think that's a great suggestion - who ever mentioned that! *** I can't wait to see your displays! *** |
I usually just hold it over my DD's head, I don't actually clip anything on her hair unless I am buying it for sure-- mostly because I don't want to upset the seller. Because I know I would not be comfortable if someone did that to the clips I am selling (if I was actually selling anything
