~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I am not sure where to post this, but I am doing some ruffle socks for an upcoming craft show, and I was wondering how you guys packaged your socks? Do you just pin them to a card? I want them to look as nice as possible..any suggestions would be great! Thanks!
I have never done anything like that but maybe you can try putting them in zip bags attach your card and maybe some kind of ribbon to make it look cute lol. Plus that will keep them clean and dust free
I would think a small celophane bag tied, or even stickered with mailing labels would look nice. It might cost a bit more, but they might have them for pretty cheap at like party city, or even wal-mart in the party section.
here's a pic of something-the link is a bit iffy. http://www.babybingo.com/favors_baby...salt_bag_s.jpg |
Hey guys, I just wanted to update you on what I decided to do for socks display. I found these on ebay and I thought I would be able to fold the socks down and then clip to the top, so that you can see the ribbon ruffles nicely. What do you think? I got them for about 6.50 plus shipping for 50 clips. I figured I could resuse the clips instead of giving them to the customer like I do bow cards...
Here they are - the sock clips that I bought. I like them, though they looked bigger in the photo. Maybe the guy put actual measurements on the ebay listing, but I am notorious for skimming and not reading the fine print.
What I did was put the two socks together, and then clipped the inside of each sock. I also used them to clip onto crochet hats and hang those. I am going to be taking pics of my "test run" display for my craft show. I just set everything up in my basements to see if I had enough inventory. That said, they work great on pegboard hooks and I am hoping to have a ton done by this weekend. I just wish I was a faster/better sewer.
