Again, this may be a stupid question but I could use your help on this!
![]() I was thinking of putting a tabletop mirror on my craft show table so the little girls could see themselves with my hair accessories on, and then it dawned on me that I probably can't let them try on anything because of the germ and lice factor? What do you ladies do? Do you have a few set aside "just to try on" at craft shows or do you allow your customers to try on your hats and headbands? Or not at all? I just know that personally at the home shows I have done the little girls all want to try everything on and model to eachother..... and then buy! |

I have samples out for people to try on, my hats are rolled and tied with ribbon with a hang tag attached, that really discourages people trying them on.

I let them. Especially kufis. The size is varied, so I actually prefer them try them on than call me a week later complaining it doesn't fit. (It happened.) They can try them on in a department store, so why not in my booth? I have two mirrors. I get such a kick out of watching the little girls look at themselves, they're hilarious!

I allow people to try on, to help combat the germ problem I spray my items with disinfectant (not while they are standing there). I hold whatever they try on and when they walk away I turn my back to the booth and spray. Even if I have other customers in the booth.

lysol is your friend
![]() I am always asked if they can try it on to make sure it fits. Usually it is kufi's they are asking about. Bows not so much, those they usually just hold up to the head. I will let them try it on, more times than not they buy what they tried. If they don't it gets sprayed with lysol. |
