Hi ladies! I have a question. I signed up yesterday for a premier propay account in order to take credit cards at the craft shows that I attend. My question is : How do you get the information from the credit card customer when they check out? Do you write the information down on a form, do you call in the information, or do you use a manual slider? I was looking at some manual credit card imprinters with the slips that come with them. How do the imprinters work? Are those the kind that you can slide the card through? Sorry ladies, but I'm new at this and I don't want to make a mistake when If I buy one. Any advice would be helpful.

I use a manual slider, I got it, along with 100 cc slips and a custom name plate for around 20.00 off ebay

The manual slider gives you a quick way to get their cc information without having to write it all down. They sign the slip, both you and they get a copy of the receipt and then when you get home, you enter in the sale data online (cc number, sale amount, etc). The approved transaction/sale is then placed in your account. Hope this helps.

When you get home, log onto propay, enter info, and walah, it takes 2 or 3 days to "hit" your propay acocunt, and then another day or 2 to hit your bank account (you have to physically transfer the $$ amount out of propay) I dont like the phone method, it slows my line! I have not been burnt yet, and I have processed A LOT cc transactions!
