Default My First Craft Fair

Saturday was my first show. It was a church festival in a fairly big town in southern Indiana. The turnout wasn't the greatest even thought the weather was fabulous for late August. Mostly church members. There was another bow vendor, but she didn't have her stuff displayed nicely. Just thrown on a table. My sis went to "snoop" said her stuff wasn't as nice as mine. Even had someone tell us they wished they had seen us before they bought from her. But they bought a clippie from us anyway.

All in all, we sold $280 worth of products so my sis and I were happy with that considering. We were contacted by another vendor about possibly doing a show in December so that was pretty cool.

Kufis were the biggest hit. We had all the old ladies that crochet puzzled as how to make them LOL they were cracking us up.

Your booth looks great! How much did you sell your bow holders for? They are cute. Did you sell many of the bow holders? I am just trying to decide if I should make and sell some at my upcoming show.

I have two different ones. A smaller wooden thingy with one ribbon about 30-36" was $4 and a larger wooden thingy with two ribbons about 25" each is $6. I think I sold 1 of the $4 and 2 of the $6. They seemed popular but you could tell that people are holding onto their money.

Did you make the bow display? I'm trying to figure out how to display my bows at an upcoming craft show, but don't want to spend a ton of money to buy something. Looks great!! Is that chicken wire? How did you attach the bow cards to the wire?

Hope the next contract works out!!

Thanks Girls!!
Yes I made all of my displays. The larger frame with the banner on it is an old salvaged frame from an old school. I stapled the chicken wire on to the back and then stapled fabric over that. The folding screen is the same concept. Kinda a pain cause it didn't get squared up all the way so it doesnt fold flat. I think I spent about $30 on the folding screen and less than $8 on the frame. I use 3/4" s hooks to attach my bow cards to the wire. Its very shabby chic. The salon I sell in is in a historic building so it matches them pretty well, and I love that chic, rustic look.
