Default My first Vendor Fair

Yesterday (Friday) was my very first fair of sorts. It was a Vendor Fair for my son's Elementary school. The booth fee was $25 and it was only from 5pm-8pm. I figured it would be a good small show to test the waters...lmao. Talk about stress!!! In the end, all the stress that I put upon myself was worth it. I made $158 that night, and recieved 2 custom headband orders. I sold a lot of alligator clippies, and itty bitty bows. My 2.5" bows and 3" bows did ok. I only sold 4 woven headbands, 3 or 4 pony-o streamers, 1 large daisy flower w/crystal center, and 2 4" bows. No knit or crochet heabands were sold...lol.

So for only 3 hours, and after subracting my booth fee and food for the kiddos etc...It came out to $118.00. There were over 25 vendors listed for this event and only 11 of us showed up!!!!!! That is ridiculous. And to top it off they changed the location at the last minute from the school to the convention center on base....that nobody knew where it was at...lol!

I will be doing a small Bow Party at my sister's house the day after Thanksgiving for just a few hours and we will see how that goes. I plan on hosting a bow party at my house but not until after x-mas.

Will post a pic of my table set up tomorrow...I still have to upload it onto my computer.

For a small scale show like that, I think you did great

And custom orders are awesome- hopefully that means lots of repeat business too!

Congrats!

Sorry my first reply said nothing. Glad you did well for such a short period of time. Like your display.

I was super nervous too...lmao. But once I set up and was happy with the way it looked...I relaxed a lot and just interacted with the people. Good luck with your show!

Thank you. My Itty Bitty Bows and alligator clippies sold the most. Thankfully I had replens on hand so I could fill my board back up...lol. The basic bows did ok...but the smaller ones sold the best that night.
