**BIG** Craft Show coming up

Okay, I have a HUGE craft show coming up and I have some questions.

In addition to my bows/hair accessories I want to sell some tutus. Now, I made one for my dd last night. It looks cute but the tulle is uneven (I inadvertantly cut some strips longer than others). Are there any special tricks to get the strips even? Also, I used 1" elastic cut 18" -for my 3 yo dd- thinking the tulle would 'fill in' some of the width and it did and fits dd fine. She's on the thin size (we have to cinch in her 3t bottoms) so I'm thinking maybe 16/17" for a baby and 19/20" for a 4/5 yo but what length should the strips be for those sizes? One more thing about the tutu's, how much tulle is normal or basic for 1 tutu?

Next topic. Woven headbands/korkers. I know I want Christmas/winter combos and will also be making popular college team combos, besides those, what other color combos do you think would be popular?

One way to make the tulle even is to wrap it around a piece of cardboard that is half the length that you want your strips. I just wrap and wrap until I wrap the same amount of times that I want of tulle pieces. Then I cut one time on one side/edge of the cardboard. I hope that makes sense. This way they are pretty much the same size.
As far as the sizes go, I don't have that information handy, but I am certain that I have seen it posted here at least one time. Try searching for "tutu size" or something like that.
For the headbands, maybe try some of the local school colors too. I know around here Fridays are usually spirit days and the kids wear school colors, so it might be nice to match.

Just to add to missykay, it doesn't have to be wrapped around just cardboard. I use anything handy. My cookie sheets work wonderfully!!!
