~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello All,
I have a question for those of you who do craft shows... I am just now getting started and thinking very seriously about doing a show, but I need a canopy and am looking for a display to hang in it, to hang my hair bows on. I saw this really cool vendor who had white metal grid like things hanging all the way around hers and her whole tent was covered in hairbows....but I didn't have the nerve to approach her and ask where she got her grids from,,,,,,,,so I am asking you.......if anyone knows,,,,,,I would like to know too,,,TIA
As for the grids you can buy them on line from a ton of sources (just google grid walls) or you can also check places like craigs list or your local paper to find businesses going out of business and get the grid walls cheaper that way.
Thanks for the info,,,,,have you ever used these? If you have, are they easy to set up at shows or are they a pain to deal with??? What about flip flop displays/?? I saw somewhere they had put 3 together and used hooks to hang them on>
I hav e used them in retail before.. the are easy to work with... Zip ties are your friend... the only thing that is a PIA is that you need to allow extra time to set the display hooks and hang all your merch... that can be time consuming
Yes, I use them at every show and I do a lot of shows. I use 14 walls with various baskets and shelves. I keep about 100 hooks with me. Sometimes I use them all, sometimes I don't. I can carry 2 walls at a time (I use 2' x 6' walls). They are heavy. The only thing about the grid wall display is that it can be very expensive to buy it all right off the bat. You are better trying to find it used someplace. I love my display cause it gives me major amounts of room, unlike just using tables. Here is one of the corners of my display. I've changed it some since this pic but you can get the idea.
When you use the grid wall do you have to attach anything to it to make sure it doesn't fall over or do you attach 3 together and form them into a "Z" shape? I have some old louver (sp) doors that I wanted to use but I didn't know how to keep them from falling over.
I just zig zag them and I also have them in the corners making an "L" shape to hold them. I also have 4 shelves that I put in the "L" to make it more sturdy.
