Cutting slits in Bowcards?????

I have a show coming up (have I mentioned that? ) and I am trying not to wait till the last minute (yeah right!). I wanted to go ahead and have hubby cut some slits into my bow cards. How do y'all do it?? In the past, I have used an exacto knife, but I want uniform slits, KWIM?? If you wouldn't mind share what you do.... THanks!!!!

You can get a long reach punch at Michaels.

I used to use the ribbon shaped punch, it looks like this ll , but everyone tried to thread the clip through both slits, and eventually tore the two slits together. So now I use just a 1/4" round long reach punch.

I've also heard you can drill a hole through a whole stack of cards, but never tried it myself.

I also use a long reach hole punch ...you can get it at Hobby Lobby with a 40% off coupon. It's just two slits that punch out evenly!!

I am looking at two online (My MIcheals is about an hour away). Should I get a 1/4" or a 1/2"?? I need them from everything from alligator clips, single and double, up to 80mm French clips. What do y'all think?? Oh and I use vistaprint postcards.... Thanks!
