~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have always made headbands, bows, and clippies as a hobbie for dd and friend's kids. A friend called and wants me to come to her workplace and set up a table for their "holiday shopping day" at no charge; it is on 10/31. I agreed because I figured I can just take all of the extras I have made and put aside for gifts, add as much extra as I can get made, and that would just have to be good enough.
Well, I just got off the phone with a woman from church and our church is doing a festival on 11/1. I can set up a table there for free. I don't know what, if anything, I'll have left from the day before. I'm thinking since it's my own church, I'll take samples, a ribbon color chart, and take custom orders.
I've searched and searched on here to get an idea of how much I should take to sell, but I'm just not finding what I'm looking for. Can any of you experienced ladies please, please, please give me some guidance? How many headbands of each color. How many turkey clippies? How many bows of each color and size? How many Christmas clippies? These are small sales, and I certainly don't want to take too little or way too much.
Thanks!!!
I would just make as much as you can make between now and then. As said before, people want to buy on the spot. I find the sculptures take longer to make than the bows. So I would make more bows and then if I had time, concentrate on the turkeys and other sculptures. The more you have, the better your sales will be. Good luck! I hope you do well.
It is always better to have way to much than not enough. Honestly its hard to say how much because if you have not sold before you won't know the demand. Also it depends on how things sell in your area. The best thing to do is just get a good amount, make a little extra and than see how it goes. You'll know better for next time.
I don't think anyone ever really knows how much to take. You just make alot and hope its enough!
Sorry I don't have better advice
