Look at it this way-she's only charging $2 for those-she's wasting her time. That is obviouly Rabom ribbon and we all know what she paid for it. She has easily $0.70- $1.00 in those bows and if she is only charging $2.00 for them what is the point. She isn't making any money.

There’s two...the one downtown at relaint and the one at the Stafford Center is called the Sugar Plum Market. I have a friend who does that show, not bows but something else.

I briefly thought about doing the one in Stafford then I decided not to.

I am going to do at least two shows this fall if not more. But I am going to do them at churches and schools.

I totally think you're getting flagged by her, or her friends. I thought that immediately after I read your post about it.

She may get a few more sales than you, but she has to work at LEAST twice as hard to make as much as you do. The best thing you can do is continue doing what you're doing! It'll just piss her off that she can't knock you down!

I am sorry you got turned. There really are alot of bow makers. Maybe next year. I heard on craigslist other bow makers flag their competitors. Not sure if that is true.

I get flagged every time i post on craigslist tooo it gets on my nerves there is another lady that has bows pretty cheap on there.... Sorry about getting turned down for the craft show

If I remember correctly, the cheapest spot is $500! Way out of my league. I guess if you had a friend or 2 you could split the cost. Is it a 2 or 3 day show? It does get a lot of publicity so you could do really well there. I hope to make it this year to check it out!

Sorry about the show - that would be very frustrating. So far I've been the only bow maker at the few shows I have done, but I've seen some HORRIBLE bows on CL lately. I'm wondering if I'll start seeing bows at the shows this season. I hope not, I want to be the only one!!!

Bow making is way too crowded. It's going to turn into the jewelry thing before you know it. The problem is tha tmore women buy jewelry than bows.

I'm sorry you got turned down, but I'm not surprised. It's really rediculous lately. Plus, I don't think people realize how down the market is right now. People are NOT spending money like they used to. It's getting very hard to make a profit.
