I am curious to see if anyone is planning on doing any junior league shows this Fall. I luv to share the good, the bad, & the ugly about shows. This way we can all learn which ones to avoid. So I will start....

Not enough years and clientel to support the price of a booth:

Mesquite Service League~A Cowgirl Christmas
Fort Worth Junior League~Cowtown Christmas

Worth the money$$$$$$$$
Plano Junior League

I am interested in hearing more info on other junior league shows in Texas and curious about other states.

I have never done any Junior League shows. I know there's one in Waco and it's something like 900. I just don't know any specifics. I'm waaaay scared to plunk down that kind of money. You know? I do Sami and Peddler Shows... Have you ever done those?

BTW- I should be at the Arlington Peddler Show in August. I forget the dates. Come and see me if you want! I run into HG at almost every show it seems.

Have you ever done The Nutcracker Market?

We have one here in Mobile, The Christmas Jubilee and it brings in 14,000 and is $900 a booth. From what I have heard, everyone does well there!

I am glad to hear you will be at the Peddler in Arlington. They have called me numerous times to participate, but I really want to do the Fredericksburg show after Thanksgiving. I will come by and meet you! BTW, I have heard the nutcracker was good, but I am also scared to invest so much into one event. We might consider splitting a booth???

I think either Jen or I will be The Peddler Show in Fredericksburg after Thanksgiving. There's just so many shows! I know I'm accepted into that particular show... The only one I was waitlisted for was Plano.

I've been trying to figure out what to do for The Nutcracker. I've been trying to decide if I should go check it out this year or if I should just go ahead and apply. It's definately the most strict out of all the shows I've applied to!

There's a couple of children's vendors that do The Peddler Show series. Cracker Jack Kids does (but it's nearly all clothing and some bows). Rag-A-Muffin does (same thing though). There was one who had really cute stuff, but I forget her name. She's from OK and had 3 small children. She did the Rosenberg show BY HERSELF, with all her kids. I thought she was a total rockstar for that one.

I'll go reread The Nutcracker one again.

The Nutcracker Market is full! *sniff* I was nervous about that one though. 900 for a 10X10, plus 10% commission. OUCH!

Wow!! $900 for a booth!! That would NEVER fly here in Nebraska.

I do one Junior League show a year. It is in the spring and is their annual fundraiser. It's Friday night, and all day Saturday and Sunday. It's a little girls fashion show, called the American Girl Fashion Show, the girls dress up like the American Girl Dolls. The parents come and watch the fashion show and have a meal.

I pay $30 + 20% commission for a 6' table. Last year there were 13 vendors, the year before that only 7 vendors. Vendor spots are by invite only, luckily my DH's best friend's wife is one of the coordinators. Each year I've made about $1300, then minus my 20% commission, so about $1050.

Wow...$900 for a booth. I just can't get over that!!
