Does anyone use them to process credit card payments at craft shows? I'm considering signing up with them but would like some reviews. They charge $29.95 per year plus 3.25% + $0.35 per transaction. This seems better then paypals version because they charge $30 per month.

There processing % is high and I would suggest you use Bank of America. I do not have the wireless machine and have been lucky not to have any fraudalent sales at shows. I simply swipe the CC and batch out at home.

to accept regular payments from paypal it's 2.9% + 0.30 per transactions, so it is really close to normal paypal fees that you pay when someone pays you online. The $30 a year fee is pretty much covered after a few sales cuz you take credit/debit. You don't know how many times I have been at a craft show and soo mad because I was out of cash and no one took debit LOL
I've never used propay, but I assume that would be a good deal for those rates.

I use it ALL of the time at craft shows and it's really been a blessing b/c it's helped increase my sales by about 1/3..... When available, my DH keys it into the computer (if wireless is available at the show location), if not, I usually just call it in while they are standing there. It only takes a minute.. It's great if you don't have a lot of money to dump into a "swiping machine" system, etc....and they don't charge me a monthly fee at all...Just once a year. They also have sent me a debit card that I have been able to use anywhere.

Propay has been great for me. I have not had any problems. Of course, who wouldn't like to have a lower fee. I think it makes people fee like they can spend more so they will not run out of cash.

I know a lot of people locally use Propay at shows and they've been pleased with the service.

@ bellasmeme: You probably have more than just a few that pass by because you don't have a cc machine. Sometimes I go somewhere and run out of cash, then see something I want. If the booth doesn't have a sign that says they accept cc's, I don't ask. So I'm one of the people that might love your product, but you might lose a sale if I didn't see you early in the show.

I really think it's a worthwhile investment if you do shows.

I am happy with propay. I signed up for the middle level so I could use the phone to process cards. I was to impatient to use it. No one had an issue with me taking their c/c numbers. I just processed the payments on the computer when I got home. Very simple. Just make sure you remember to get zipcodes. I was worried I kept forgetting something I needed, but did not. It paid for itself the first show. I am certain I got more sales and larger sales because of it. The customer service has been really good so far.
Hope that helps!
