Default Any suggestions about instruction contest?

I'm considering an instruction contest after Nov-Dec bow contest. Any suggestions?

Here're what I'm thinking:

1. All instructions that are submitted on this forum qulify (including those are already posted)
2. All members can submit instructions for contest (except hipgirl)
3. Members can submit more than 1 instructions.
4. An instruction contest index will be created. Instructions will be posted in 'how to make' subforum. The title should include 'instruction'. After the instruction posted, send me a PM and I'll add the instruction link and title image to the index. A sequence # will be assigned to each instruction (first come, first serve). Then members will vote for the best 3 or 5 instructions using the sequence# (depends on how many entries I get).
5. Each instuction should have at least 7 pictures. There will be a lot of work involved in creating instructions. So the prize will be significantly higher then other contests.
6. It can be hairbows, headbands. hair accessories, ribbon shirts, ribbon socks... everything ribbon ralated and wearable (bottle cap, beads jewelry qualify too). And other hairbow related topic like how to make bow cards, how to take perfect picture of hairbows...
7. Oh, another thing, by submit your instruction for contest, you agree that hipgirlclips.com can post your instruction under our 'Free how to ' page (use under permission). And if you have a website, this page can provide a 'one-way link' to your website or blog.

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks.

Michelle

great idea! There are so many creative ladies here it will be wonderful to have their instructions - plus the more instructions we see, we can get even better at writing them! Thanks, Michelle!

I think it'll be better just post the instruction as a thread. Below is an example. Just list steps with images.

Once the instruction is posted, it's copyrighted. But if you want to sue somebody for copying your images, descriptions... you have to register your work with US copyright office.

Just steps with images will do. Here is one of my instruction on this forum:

And here is one of my instruction on wikihow:

I can help if you want to post the instruction in table format (like my the bug clip instructions).

And it could be vedio instruction, too. My DH ordered a new camcorder. I'll try it to see how to upload to the forum.

By the way, if you have a website, record something and post it on ytube. That's a great one-way link.

I think MS word file can be uploaded as an attachment. Here is a test (no need to open the empty word file

Here are files that can be attached:
bmp
doc
gif
jpe
jpeg
jpg
pdf

Thanks.
