So cute, but EXPENSIVE! I guess it really does add up once you add up the supplies, too. Still worth making a pair for my daughter! Thanks for the tut!

I really don't like this trend. Just my opinion. I can't jump on the blinged-out shoes bandwagon. Esp not for that price.

But I do like the plain ole converse! Wear them with everything! <3

I'd rather do my own, Skechers doesn't use Swarovski and besides we don't do peace signs in my house.

The two shoes took me almost 3 hours. Here is the break down of my supplies so you can understand the price a little better.

Converse: 17.99
Rhinestone: 320 (3SS I buy in bulk) 12.00
Applicator: .25
Glue: ?? maybe $2 (gem tac)

So already at around $32 bucks and that is only materials.

I would never want to pay that much but, I have found there are some people who just don't want to fuss with crafty stuff so they would rather pay someone to do it. These definently are extravagant but totally awesome!

Oh and talk about bling.......... I saw one of those travel mugs all blinged out in swarvoski crystals for..........$210. It looked AMAZING! knowing how long it must have taken and the amount of rhinestones I say that is a fair price. I am going to attempt it sometime soon. I am figuring at least 20 gross of the stones. Attaching a pic of my bling converse!
Those are super adorable!! Yep that adds up quick!!! And that's not even factoring in time to bling them. I see why they are so expensive now!!! I am glad I am a crafty momma and can make my own.

Those are super cute, but my daughter would have those trashed in 1 day flat!

I've actually made 3 pairs of these... and oddly enough I found it a to be like cheap therapy for me ..... the first ones i did was a pair of my sons converse that he outgrew that would fit my daughter... i figured if they bombed then no loss, but they came out too cute. I've made a pair for my friens daughter for st. paddys day ,and for my new niece ..... and anything i can do for a fraction of the cost than someone else makes - makes me giddy. IMG00100.jpg

I made a pair of these for my daughter a year or so ago. They were really cute, but a pain in the rear! I will never do another pair!

What type of glue are people using? I would worry it would fall off fast.
