What about glass marble magnets. I did them with my daughter for her teachers for valentines day. I put them in a metal heart container so the stuck to the bottom. They are cheap and easy.

Get the glass marbles at walmart in the flower section (they are flat on one side) the walmart ones seem to be clearer than the michaels ones.

Buy some small round magnets

find pics in magazines or whever and cut them to fit on the back side
Use a small glop e6000 to glue the pic on. Press down until it fills the image.
cut out card stock ( I use the inserts from magazines or the renewal cards) the same size and glue that to the back of your pic.) This keeps your magnet from bleeding through. Then glue the magnet on.

How about a cute clock (for a desk or something) and a note saying ,'thank you for your time'. Or something to that effect!

I made my daughter early childhood development teacher a gift basket for Christmas and she loved it. I'm going to try to make a keyfob for her end of the session gift.

This is what I sent last week for my daughter's student teacher this year. The teacher got all of the kids to send in pens, note pads, etc. to fill it. I donated the bag and a pair of flip flops. She graduated from Clemson so I did an orange tiger theme and monogrammed it with her soon-to-be married initials. You wouldn't belive the compliments they sent me in thanks for this bag. And the student teacher was thrilled to have her new initials on it. If you are interested in anything from my website, let me know and I will send you a discount code to use since you are a member of this forum. I like to help out everyone that is so generous about giving tips and ideas here to me.

I really think anything would be appreciated. I got candles from several students last year, Stationary with My last initial on it, things I might like would be night lights, paper (colored or decorated) for classroom stuff. I got one of those fragrance player things one year--it was a hit the next year in the classroom...(I would imagine after second recess in elementary it would help keep the stench of sweaty little kids away)...Decorative soaps, pretty much anything inexpensive that you like, we like!!

I found someone that made purses out of capri sun pouches and had her make some without the handle and I put little trinkets inside for her classroom.

We actually got all the parents together last year at the end of the year. Everyone went in together and we purchased a huge bouquet of flowers for the teachers (Charli was in preschool so she had 1 teacher and 1 assistant) we got extra flower picks and there were gift cards through out the bouquet. Each set of parents went and picked up one or 2 gift cards for each teacher in varying amounts. They had like 8-10 gift cards each. THey loved it. It was a huge hit and they were able to have some fun over the summer. (movies, ice cream, bath and body etc.)
