how many times a day do I hear.. where's a pencil? Mine broke! Mine needs sharpened! mom he stole my pencil! I had the red one! OY!
LOL! You're right! I think I could get by with a few pencils, a sharpener, an eraser and a glue stick. I could also use a notepad on me to jot down the groceries that I always remember we need and then forget when it's time to make the list. Oh yeah, and a bunch of popsicle sticks to entertain my 4yo. at any given time!

Oh gosh! Aprons are sooooo easy to make and I've put together lots for other people! I never thought of making a cute one for bow parties, etc, but that would be a GREAT way to carry around pens, business cards, and even order slips!

Awesome idea - now I'll have to keep an eye out for some cute fabric.

I've found that the prints I'm partial to for myself are usually Michael Miller prints. I loooove the "dandy damask" design!

I cheated last night. I made the apron (hubby says it looks professional - I blushed..said.. ohhh you're just saying that..lol)

So it's black fabric, and then I attached red 3/8 grosgrain for the tieback. I think I will add some ladybug ribbons or something to the front

Are you serious!??!! Are you really from Italy or have an Italian background. My husband spent some time growing up in Itlay and I would love to cook some authentic Italian food. Everyone says "authentic" but it always has an American twist. Can I get some receipes? PLEASE???

Your hubby is lucky!! I was only blessed enough to visit a couple of times for a few weeks. I am of Italian Descent and I learned from my Grandma and my mother who learned from her!!! Let me write a few up for you and I'll send them your way!! The meatballs are always fantastic and my little sis can make them to die for... so I will get her two cents too!! If you want a basic pasta sauce I can send that, and then I have a couple of other recipes that are staples in our house!!

Talk to you soon!!!!

Edith

I found some good ideas on some of those links & came up with my own apron. I call it Mom's Toolbelt! I'll include a pic, but you can't see the pockets. It has three big pockets. It's too long, but I can fold the top down for now.

ETA: I know the fabric isn't the most beauteous in the world. It was in my pile of "I don't love this anymore."
