Default TUTU waist band

Hi Ladies, Someone may have already done this, so it may not be that novel of an idea.

I have seen the tutu dresses that folks make with the crochet headbands, I didn't want to do that, but I did want to do a waistband. I haven't had much luck being able to wrap the ribbon around the waist and making it look good so I tried to use a 3 inch headband. I folded it over on itself, and wove the tule through the headband.

I really like the way it turned out. I like that the crochet headbands are soft and stretch, and it still looks okay even if it's way stretched out.

What do you think???

It will stretch to about a 28 inch diameter...plenty for toddlers at least... Mine's 3...I don't know what standard sizes are.

I do these alot and to get them really full I add a second and sometimes a third row by knotting the tulle on the second and third row of holes. They come out super full and fluffy.

I've never sold tutu's. I have a couple that i made for my daughter, that are super-full. she is always pushing the tulle down like it bothers her.

I think the less full version may be better for her.

Do you guys usually find that folks want them fuller? I just want to do a few for an upcoming show, but wasn't sure which route to go. I guess I can do several different ways and see what sells, but I don't want my stuff to be all different...I think that would look unprofessional?.?.

Any thoughts?
