Can anyone decipher how to make a bow similar to this?

I have been trying to figure out an easy and economical way to make something like this. It is actually a dog bow (I am a groomer, but you gals have such excellant ideas on here!!!!). I have done a few experiments with this, but it is too time consuming.

I have no idea, but I think they are cute for pets. How big are they?

they are used with 5/8" ribbon, and are only about 1.5" long when finnished

Here's one I did based on those instructions out of some scraps that I had with the 5/8" ribbon.

I got tired of trying to fold that back and forth how they show you in those instructions, so I altered it and I cheat The bottom was a 4" piece of ribbon and the top was 3". I just crease each piece of ribbon in the center and then bring in each end and glue to the center and stack them on top of each other. I just threw this little scrap piece of ribbon in the center because it was just sitting there!

I put some spray stiffener on it so I'll see what it does once it dries. I didn't have any thicker dowels to make it more poofy.

It's the same bow in these pictures-my Rebel is in the bedroom and my piece of crap camera was sitting right there so I can figure out my SLR but not a little point and shoot-ha!
