They said that they went to the online patient site and there was no application filed. Also, I think she is trying to get a patient on the "no slip" gripper, not the clip. I don't see how she can get a patient on the clip or the other parts because she did not invent them. They are products that she has purchased. Geesh...who knows! I wouldn't worry.

tee hee, too funny! I agree. I don't understand this patent thing. People have been lining clips forever with velcro or velvet or whatever! Can't believe someone would have a patent on that.

ANYONE can fill out an application for a patent. Very few will actually get approved, and the process can take a really long time. And even if some miracle happened and theirs went through, people copy others ideas all the time. Don't you just change the name or something??! I think we have heard all this before, but that is how we have hundreds of choices for t.v.s, cameras, phones, etc. It started somewhere, and than was copied over and over.
NOW, does anyone have any good ideas? I could fill out an application pretty quick.........

I was looking at her site just yesterday and thought the same thing! I think the idea is cute and different, but really-how practical is that because it looks like it'll hold like 15 bows at the most...ok maybe more of hers since they are plain and boring-haha. I thought the same thing for the price of her bows too-it probably takes 1 minute to line those with the same ribbon we all use or have used and if I'm paying that much, I'd rather them be something a lot cuter than just a lined clip! I don't think they look very good on the gallery page-they are just too plain for me.

I'm surprised that anyone cares that much about this. Seriously...good for her. I really really doubt it's going to take away from any of our businesses in any way. No worries! PLUS...there are a million other stores who *aren't* carrying these, so if you really want it, go after it!
