Default pee pee teepees, sprinkle guards ect...

I was not sure where to post this?? Im sure most of you have seen these before, I forgot all about them tell today.I though these were a funny little gift for moms having boys. They would be super easy to make and a nice way to use scrap materials. Here is in an example i found on Etsy.

I've been meaning to make something like this, but I wonder if it would just make a big mess. I used a weeblock with my LO when he was first born & it was foam & soaked the pee up really well. I'm a little worried that this would just make the pee splash right back down on him, KWIM? I think I'll still try it though.

I do make these. I call them "Tinkle Tents". It's funny- sports teams are the best selling ones for me!

I make them with either chenille or minky on the inside...

I've never seen those before and I needed it for my lil girl, she was worse than ANY lil boy I had ever changed and been around. As soon as that diaper came off she was peeing on you!! Thank goodness she's grown out of that!!!

I think it's a cute idea, BUT I don't think I'd use it simply bc I'm lazy and it's easier to hurry to put the diaper on rather then cover the peter w/ the tent then taking the tent off to close the diaper and having to wash the tent all the time... just an extra unnecessary step IMO.

I'd like to hear from someone who actually uses one?

I do think new moms of boys would buy it just to try it... I would've w/ my first son... and I think my MIL would've wanted one after my son peed in her hair the first time she changed his diaper..

As a Mom with 2 boys, I just don't see the value in them. It seems like it would just slow me down in doing the change. I always did just fine having the new diaper ready to go, then switching quickly & getting it closed. Seems like if you take the time to place the guard, and then again to move it, you're just increasing the number of times in a single change he can hit you! I'm not saying if you make them & offer them they won't sell well, just that I could never make them & sell them myself because I just don't see it as a helpful product, so I could never convince anyone with questions about them to buy them!!

I've always felt this way about them too! Plus I don't need another thing to wash especially one soaked with pee!

When I changed my son I would just throw a baby washcloth over him. As for soaking it up, I don't think that's the main concern. I just didn't want pee spraying all over the place! I think they are cute and affordable....I would have bought them!

as a mom of a boy, i just changed his diaper real fast, if he did pee< it was always in his face when i had his lil bum up putting the new on, but it didn't seem to bother him when he peed in his face, it was when i wiped it off that he didn't like...lol So i would be of no help to sell these...
