Great idea, but I just wanted to mention that I have heard (not sure if this is true!) that dryer sheets can be toxic.

I really need to try some fabric covered buttons and some bottle caps, I bought all the stuff a while ago and just have not gotten around to it!

The cotton batting works wonders and is cpsia compliant. If you buy it on sale it is really cheap and last a really long time. You can get hundreds upon hundreds out of it since you use such a small piece.

Both are great ideas...and I love the extra little tips on what else to do with the dryer sheets....I swear my DH is going to think I'm NUTS dusting with a used dryer sheet LOL

Yeah I tend to forget all the CPSIA stuff since I only make stuff for my 6yo dd and not for resale. So....for anyone who makes these & resells, makes sure you don't use the dryer sheets since they are not compliant! Sounds like the cotton batting is a good bet!! Thanks for the tips & info ladies!!!

You can also use dryer sheets as a stabalizer when embroidering too!
