I have always used 12" dowels, it's hard enough to get those wrapped and stored. I don't think I could handle having them 18" long.

I do lay them on top of each other, but I don't mix colors so to speak. I did white alone, and reds and dk pinks together. Dark colors together. Sort of like doing laundry, whites lights and darks. I also used the wire rack that came with mine, just to make sure that the bottom ones didnt get too hot and discolor.

well, oppurtunity knocks!! I am at MIL's right now...I am diggin out the roaster in the morning! She will never miss it! LOL!!! JUST KIDDING! I will tell her I am taking it! Honeslty, she wouldnt miss it though. Like I said, I am the only one who cooks!!!LOL

LOL thats me misspell QUEEN LOL! Yep it works GREAT! you can buy the ROASTER ovens for 30.00 at walmart
It is SOmuch nicer and energy efficiant then heating up the big oven
