Default For those of you who have puppies...and they wear bows??

I am working on some bitty bows, for puppy bows for a puppy spa that has just opened.I have seen a few threads for those who use mini rubberbands sewn in to the hair bow. I dont want to use those, because they will snap. I am gonna try to use basic alligator clips, fully lined. I just wanted to see what everyone else uses on their puppy bows. Just to get some opinions. Thanks girls!

Tyeesha,
I have a maltese, and she comes home from the groomer with bows in her hair each month. Sometimes they use the itty bitty snap clips, and they have actually made some with the smallest french barrette (it's actually less than an inch long). Most of the time tho, it's the rubber bands wrapped around ribbon. There was a link on here at one time of a site that sold itty bitty bows for dogs. I didn't bookmark it tho, it's been several months back.

When my grandmother's dog gets groomed, they always send her home with these itty bitty bows. They use these TINY ouchless bands of some sort. I'll ask next time we go in where they get them at.

I mainly use 2 small non-latex elastic bands sewn to the back of each bow. I've used french clips and alligator clips as well.

Thanks gals!! I think I am gonna make just a variety. The shop owner is young, and she seems excited, so I want to give her a few different options and let her chose what she and her customers like the best! Thanks so much!!

Alligator clips wont hold good. I have a yorkie poo and they are out of her hair in minutes. I recommend the itty bitty ouchless rubberbands.

I use either tiny 1" clips or bands. Don't go with regular rubber bands cause they will snap. You can order bands specifically for dog bows. Personally I use the latex free bands and hundreds, if not thousands, later I have yet to have one break on me.

I use 5/16". I have really small fingers and with the smaller ones I just couldn't get those to go in my dog's hair. These seem to work perfectly.
