sarah--i saw in your post awhile back your pics of your craft show set up. you put your headbands in coffee cans--it just came to me today to post a pic of a paint pail my friend made me as a shower gift for maddie--i use it on the changing table to hold all the lotion and creams. but she just took a paint pail--you can get them at home depot or lowes by the paints--and she covered it w/ wallpaper--but i am sure you can use any paper. added some rick rack on top of the paper around the edges and then she took fabric and tied it all around the handle. she used fabric, ribbon, and tulle! it is soo cute and i thought it would be cute to do like you did w/ your coffee cans! just a suggestion.

i just started doing some decopoudging--i wonder if it would work on metal--it would be cute to do lots of different prints!

oh sarah--let me tell you about these headbands--i dont know who is more excited over them--me or maddie!! she keeps taking them! i have 3 done and 2 more started--i love them bc i can start a few and sit down while the kids play and do the "weaving" part and then just put a clip on them and finish them later! the first one took me 40 minutes!! second one 20--and my 3rd one 10 min!!!

i will take some pics in a little to post them!

I've used decorated paint cans to put embroidered burp cloths and bibs in as gifts. I was a little less crafty and just decorated the outside with a paint pen- usually polka dots and the child's name.

The only issue with paint cans is that they aren't all that cheap and you have to use new ones. Formula cans are a great idea because they wouldn't hold the same smell that coffee cans do (I HATE the smell of coffee)!!

Thanks for sharing.
