on what to do with this? I found it at the Target after-Xmas sale and it looked too useful to leave behind. Now I don't know what to do with it, lol! I want to use it to make a bow, but since I am new at bow-making (actually, the only bows I know how to make are korkers), I have no ideas for this boa. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Yep, you could add it to a layered bow, would be very cute! Great color for valentines too.

Oooo, I love boa! It gives such a fun 'look.' Here's a tip, when you cut it, blow the feathers away from the central string where you want to cut and try to just cut the string. You'll still cut some feathers, but not near as many as if you just cut straight through it. Less to chase around when you're trying to clean up because, beleive me, they like to fly everywhere and stick to everything!

The only thing I've boa for has been kool-aid jammer kids purses, so it'll be neat to see what everyone says.

OMG, I was totally looking for something like that and could not find it. I had an idea of making gift bags out of them.

Take a plain white gift bag, on surface of one side, glue on the fabric (covering the entire surface), take your feather ribbon thing, line the top with it (sort of like making a frame). I hope that makes sense.

Anyhow, when you are done, it should look like a boutique gift card you paid a ton for (at least that's how I imagined it in my mind hehhehehe).

or if you just didn't want to bother you could just send it to me

I've just ever used it in the center of my big bows as an accent like this....

LOL Jen. Cute bow.

I think I would go buy a piece of raw wood at Hobby lobby or Wal-Mart, paint it, hang three strips of ribbon down off the wood, and put the boa on the edges.
wa-la bow hanger.
Not the most original, but that's what I'd do.

WOW! I bought the same thing at the Target after X-Mas sale!! I spotted it when it was put out after Halloween. I bought a bunch in different colors.

They also had the six pack of ribbon I was dying to find after X-Mas since it was about $15.00 regular price. I managed to find some for about $3.00 the day after.

When you see something that would be tooo cute for hair bow making, BUY IT!!! Once you get into making them you will find a way to use tons of things!

Have fun!!!

Oh wow what a great find! I remember seeing that at Target and almost bought some as well! I only wish I would have thought to go after the holidays I am sure they would be all out of it now.

I have done a couple of bows with marabou before. It turns out soooo cute but as mentioned before when you cut it pull and blow some of the feathers out of the way cause it is sooooo messy! DH says from now on I can only use it in the summer so I can cut it outside.

Here are some bows I have done with it
