Just wondering if anyone has ever done this? I was thinking it would be a cute idea. Can you use the heat bond stuff?

I have thought about this too. It sounds good, just don't know how to do it. I'll be watching this thread

Ok, I just tried to use some heat n bond to put ribbon on a cotton stretchy headband.....lets just say its definitely NOT a good idea! LOL! It wouldnt stretch at all anymore! I wonder if it will stretch if I sew some ribbon on one? I was just trying to do it the easy way since I hate sewing!!!

I don't think you could sew it down the middle. I would imagine that you would have to sew it every couple of inches --verticall, not horizontally--and leave some "extra" in between where you sew so the ribbon bunches a little when at rest, so that when the headband stretches the ribbon stretches out. Does that make sense to you? I see it in my mind, but it is kind of hard to explain.

That is funny that you say this! I was on the web two nights ago and came across a website that had stretchy grosgrain ribbon. I had never heard of it before! I wonder if it really is "stretchy"? Has anyone else ever heard of it??

I will be out most of the day, but when I get home, I will try to find it and post it for you! Good luck with the headband!

Jenn
