I wonder what the ribbons are made out of to make them water proof pretty cool though just thought I would share!

IT says grosgrain ribbon on the materials. They do have satin acetate that is waterproof but i think it is like what they make flower arrangements out of and dont think that would look good with bows.

Yea, Lorraine is correct (not waterproof), they are made from grosgrain ribbon. I assume what she means by "waterproof" is that they won't loose their form. ????
When my daughter was young she swam in basic bows all the time and because of the style of that particular bow it held up just fine. Like I said, I think because of the style of the bow she means they will hold up while swimming and so forth in water.
