As I said, I'm not going to post it here - its true there are lots of lurkers. I will provide via PM, the way I arranged the ribbons to start and everyone will have to go from there. I agree that showing any more would be too close to the regular weave instructions. Hope that satisfies everyone.

And since when can we not share when we figure out how to do something? I don't understand why these headbands are such a touchy topic. We share all kinds of this stuff every day.

I'm guessing that it's because the person who created/sells the instructions is an ACTIVE member of this forum. When people 'figure out' how to do/make things, usually the 'original' creator is not an active member (if they are a member at all). If they were, I would assume they would say something (I would if I were them) and then people would continue the conversations via PM.

So the point is, if you created instructions for something that was uniquely 'yours' and then someone posted how to do it for 'free' (to the same group of people that you 'sell' to) wouldn't you find that slightly offensive? Especially after how much time and effort it took to figure out your patterns and create a 'how to'.

Obviously people are going to do what they want, and I understand the whole concept of helping each other out - but I think it's more polite/professional to keep that behind 'closed doors' so to speak, out of respect for the original creator.

Yes, I do and I agree with you. (And, this is not Lorraine's design, nor has the creator said anything about the subject thus far).

As I said before, I will keep it off the public board.
