I have one. I only use it when I am curling SMALL amounts of ribbon and I dont want to haul out the dowels and turn on the oven. Like for cupcake sculptures. It works OK, but it is SLOW - you have to have the ribbon on there for a while to get the curl to stay. Maybe 2 minutes? So it would take FOREVER to do enough to make a full korker!

I also have one. It is a complete waste of money.

Well thanks to you wonderful ladies, I never even bothered taking it out of the package and it's going back to Michaels tomorrow. I'll just use the money on more ribbon and dowels. LOL

Much better investment! But IMO, you should buy the dowels at michaels but the ribbon online, unless its a super sale.

I was wondering if this tool might have another use. Often when I get flowers they are pretty mangled. I take them apart and iron them on low to get the worst of the wrinkles out. That works great but leaves them a little flat. I was wondering if this tool could be used to shape the petals back to that slightly curved shape after I iron them?

Any thoughts? Would it get too hot and melt the petals?

I use my steamer on crushed flowers...gets rid of the wrinkles and doesnt destroy the shape...plus its fast!

I like hairbowcenter. Prices are a bit high, but they have EXCELLENT customer service and lightning fast shipping.
