Default Need help ASAP!

Ok so I have to finish bows for my sister's competition in like a week and a half. I have this fabric that the coach picked out for the girls but its not spandex or mystique or anything like that. Its shimmery but it frays. ALOT. Will using heat and bond prevent this when I attach it to the ribbon or should I go a different route like folding the edges under, sewing, or something like that? Usually when I use spandex or vinyl I don't have a problem but I am a little worried about this stuff.

Sorry, I haven't used anything but spandex or mystique. My opinion would be to fold over and sew to be sure. Good Luck!
