Default Zip Ties

Am I the only one that just can't get into using zip ties? I've tried them, and I'm not a fan of using them, yet I see a ton of people do. I do use them when I do the rhinestone mesh bows because the center gets way too thick. Just curious what everyone's thoughts were on them.

I use them. I can hold the bow with one hand and do the zip tie with the other. I feel too uncoordinated to tie with thread/ribbon/whatever!

I am an embroidery thread kind of girl myself. Never could get the hang of making a cheer bow without marks and a needle.

I use zip ties as well....but I am saying this with extreme caution! the "knot" on the zip tie must be placed correctly so as not to cause potential harm to the wearer of the bow. I find that many people use them without giving a thought as to the placement of the know. If you are using them on cheer bows, please keep in mind that these girls get hit in/on their head when stunting/being caught.....it is a part of the sport....none-the-less, if the "knot" in placed towards the botton/center of the bow it can litterally puncture the wearer in the head causing injury if the get struck on the head.....so if you are using zip ties on your bows, please make sure the "knot" is towards the top! Place you elastic band/pony-O directly under the know so as to make it less of a blunt/sharp object that can cause injury.......Good luck

I've only used zip ties on my cheer bows but hand sew all my other bows.

I still hand sew and use the tiny elastic to tie mine. It has always worked the best for me
