I've had my silhouette for over a year, and have yet to cut anything but paper with it. Thank you for the beautiful inspiration! I'm going to make it my goal over the winter to branch out and learn how to take advantage of the machine!

Question Re: Bows made using your Silhouette Cameo or Vinyl Cutter

I have a cricut expression but doesn't do the job for my cheerbows. I have been looking into the cameo when I came upon the portrait.
Does anyone have an opinion regarding the good and bad about the portrait vs the cameo?

Are you using a regular Silhouette? I have one I bought a long time ago and was thinking of trying it out with these. Anyone have any tips for doing this? I haven't used it much because it was a PAIN.

Thanks!

Thank you for the compliments ladies!

What kind of iron on vinyl do you usually order from the site you recommended? I ordered some thermoflex and easy weed since they were recommended for spandex/Lycra (which I use for most of my bows), but the selection was more limited than for cotton/polyester. Have you had luck with the specialty glitter or hologram?

I purchased a Silhouette Cameo a couple years back and just opened it. How in the world do you work this thing. I am so confused.

Hi, I've found this tutorial video on Youtube I think is simple.

Just at the end how the lady sticks the vinyl onto her Cameo looks a little messed. I still suggest transfer paper will be much more correct when application.

I finally purchased a Silhouette... I did get the portrait for financial reasons. I LOVE IT. This machine is AMAZING!
If I can figure out how to get this picture to post, I just made my favorite bow thus far. Thanks to everyone for their posts, stories, suggestions.

It looks like sewing the fonts on the bow. Or other ways?
