You know, come to think of it I did end up using zip ties at the end of my last squad last summer. I had totally forgotten about doing that. Thanks so much for the reminder!! I used a clipboard in my lap, got my center creased how I like it on my strong embroidery needle wrapped a zip tie and then used my pliers to pull the small, clear zip tie tight.

Would you be willing to share a pic of what your bows look like before you add your final center ribbon (front & back)? I'm just trying to picture using a smaller ribbon and just tieing the center but I'm having a hard time. Thanks.

One of the DVDs I watched suggested taking a warm blow dryer to the center of the ribbon. Be careful not to compromise the HNB too much. I would say just enough to soften penetration.
