I think this "cleaning house" is going to be a problem in some ways. This is a perfect example. That was still an active thread even if it was 15 days old. How are people going to refer back to if they remove the threads? Doesn't make sense. Maybe it should be changed to threads with no new posts for 15 days gets cleaned?

If you can remember the thread name, you might be able to type that into a google search along with hip girls clips forum and see if you can pull it up using the cache. I don't know if it will work, but its worth a shot.

When Michelle posted about this new purging, she recommended that everyone save the posts to their individual PCs. You can do this by taking screenshots, or just by keeping better records.

It will be an adjustment, that's for sure.

I agree. I can totally understand deleting destash threads that are old becuase normally everything listed get sold and there's not much reason to have those but I think threads that are ongoing like wholesale should be left up. Just my .o2

well I won't say much about this since I am still a bit new & do not want to make anyone angry, but I will say that I think if 'active' & getting orders, there is no reason to delete. Just my opinion though, hope I don't upset anyone. I checked my history & can see the thread, but it says it is an inactive link. I have shows coming up, so this order is very important & do not have time for a delay. I may have to order from someone else if I do not find who it is in the next day or 2. Also, me not being a seller on here & new on top of it, I payed no mind to the note at the top of the page. I didn't even take a second look at it.

I don't think you'll upset anyone. It wasn't any member(s) who decided the new change would be in effect. It was the owner of the forum, Michelle. She has to pay for the space that it takes and the FS section is a large part of that. It was never stated explicitly, but there's also speculation that this is to stop people from using the FS like a store. If they don't buy advertising on the forum and they sell like a store, it takes money from Michelle's shop.

Next time I buy something from that section I will remember to do that (screenshot). It was definitely way easier to look in my subscriptions though!

I am pretty sure it would be hard to delete some posts and not others. I am pretty sure she just clicks a button to delete all the older posts. If she had to pick and choose, she would be at the computer for days!!

OMG.....I lost my wholesale threads then...What a PITB...It's hard to make new ones you know. I'm rally upset now since I have all my information there. The thing is some of the for sale sections are wholesale which are ongoing sale. Should see the threads first before deleting them though.
