When making covered buttons, I would get my fabric all lined up on the button front, then put it in the little "thingy" (I'm so technical...LOL) before putting the back on the button. Nine times out of ten, after I put the back on, I would look at my button and my fabric had shifted (of course this is only "relevant" when you need a design on the fabric in the center). I now just keep a glue stick handy and put a dab of glue in the center of the button before positioning my fabric. No more fabric slipping while putting on the back.

hope you put your xtra glue sticks in lettuce drawer of the reefer (sorry - never remember how to spell refridgerator & it's tooo long of a word).
lots of mine went bad (since i buy the big pack at bj's) and once i started doing this - no problem!
lol - and i always know where they are!
