Default One of my random silly questions...

I posted in another thread that I always had silly questions rambling around in my head. Well, here's one of them. When you line a clippie do you leave the little "burp" at the end open?I see some where they are and some where they aren't. I like all my edges sealed and the clippie end at the point to be completly closed and flat. That little opening to me makes it look like it may come unglued at the slightest. I have even been known to run my woodburner over the sides to seal them shut. Is there a right way? Which do you prefer?

See, told ya it was silly
