The key for the transfer to work you need a HOT iron and a hard surface, no ironing board. I personally use a small wood cutting board with a scarf/handkerchief underneath and once you place the transfer paper on the ribbon and your iron on top leave the iron for about a minute on top of the transfer and's more of a waiting game than anything else. If you just pass the iron as if you were ironing a shirt its not going to work. Let it cool down COMPLETELY, if its still warm leave it alone. HTH
