How did you use it? Normally, when I'm using the wood burner to cut and seal, I lay the ribbon on my counter (use a cookie sheet if you don't have a heat safe counter) and then I put a metal ruler on top of it and hold it down real good. Then I just firmly slide the wood burner along the edge of the ruler. You can't hold it in one place too long or it will just melt it more than you want it too. So you have to be firm, but quick...yet not too quick. Sorry if that doesn't make sense!
