I say this as I am packing up for a craft show and wish I had a better system, so I am not practicing what I preach....
Buy clear totes/tubs. Then buy smaller ones that will fit inside. Organize the different types into the smaller ones, then stack into the bigger ones and then you can stack those in a garage, spare room, etc.
This works fine for the streamers, tuxedos, headbands, etc. I am not great yet at the layered works of art like some people are, so I don't have to worry about those. Not sure how people keep those because you would not want to get them squashed.....
