Based on an article I found this seems like retro chic. See below. See further below the article to see what I think are some Etsy examples. It's hard to know for sure since the article doesn't include a picture of "tulle aprons".

Aprons were also given as gifts,from guest to hostess, as well as from the bride to those women helping with the wedding, or from hostess to every woman in attendance.
