Sounds like the tension to me. Here's the best way to describe it over the phone/over the internet:

- Find your manual and set the tension dials according to the directions inside.

- The threads on the back of the fabric come from the lower loopers. Starting with one of them, adjust it, 1/2 a number's worth until the thread is snug against the fabric but not so tight that it bunches the fabric up or pulls the threads from the top around to the back.

- Adjust the other looper, 1/2 a number's worth until you get the same results.

- If the threads on top are affected and start getting pulled underneath, adjust those dials the same way, one at a time, until the stitching is evenly spaced and 'looks right.'
