I make these and they're easy. My picture shows it with a round petal inside instead of the pointy petal, but you would just do the same process for inside petal as you do for the outside petal. Just take a square piece of ribbon or fabric, I used ribbon, fold it in half, then fold it in half again. I use a clippie to hold it together while I make the inside petal. Now, make a smaller inside petal. Then, layer them on top of each other and bring the ends together and put your needle and thread through it. You can trim some of the back off if it's too much, but most of the time I leave it as is. The purple one was trimmed and the pink one was not. The pink one is a round petal kanzashi.
