I put aluminum foil on the cookie sheet first. I use primarily Schiff and Offray ribbon (for point of reference). If any prints have a tendency to bleed (i.e. red w/ white polka/swiss dots), then I bake @ 225 degrees for 25 minutes. If I don't have to worry about bleeding, I bake @ 250-275 degrees for 25 minutes. HTH
This is about the same thing I do.
I have found some of the silky type ribbon with prints will bleed no matter how careful I am with the baking temperature and time.
